Heavy Duty Mechanic – Nanaimo

Coastland is seeking a fully qualified Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our Nanaimo Operation located on beautiful Vancouver Island, BC.

Job Duties

Safely complete routine maintenance and repair on heavy duty and manufacturing equipment including forklifts, wheel loaders, boom boats, and log loaders
Diagnose equipment breakdowns to determine required repairs
Clean and lubricate equipment
Be flexible with shift schedules including overtime and weekend shifts
Willingness to work in all weather conditions
Develop and foster positive working relationships with colleagues through constructive communication and a willingness to educate staff
Other mechanical repair work as required
