Coastland’s Support of B.C Community Forest Association Annual General Meeting

Coastland was thanked by the Pachecdaht First Nation and Cowichan Lake Community Forest Co-op for our support in the 2016 B.C Community Forest Association Annual General Meeting being held in Lake Cowichan. Below is a segment of the statement they sent to us.

“The conference will bring economic benefits to the Cowichan Valley during the three-day event. As well it will allow us to present Qalatyit, the new Community Forest Co-op and allow us to showcase 20 years of successful management of our current community forest license to people from throughout the province and to all levels of Government.

As you know from our introduction letter we are currently in the process of renewing our current community forest license. This conference will play a significant part in that process. The new license will bring with it tremendous economic benefits to the Pacheedaht First Nation community and the communities of the Cowichan Valley for many years to come, Hopefully your company will receive some of those benefits in the future.”
